We end our month on "Finding Fits" with a discussion of Opener splintering in support of Responder's suit. This high level jump by Opener shows extra values, a fit for Responder's suit (setting trump), and shortness in the new suit bid. This allows Opener to "paint a picture" of their hand and leaves Responder well placed to make a final decision about how to continue the bidding.
