This week's Declarer play topic is one of the most important in all of bridge and is what expert bridge players are best at! Good Declarer play is not about figuring out whether a finesse is better than a suit splitting - instead, we want to find a way to make a contract if one thing happens, or another thing, or even this third thing. It is rarely best to stake our entire contract on just one thing happening. We want to combine our chances to give us the best possiblity of a contract making.
