This week we look at a gadget for getting information about partner's hand after a balancing 1NT bid. Range Stayman is a very old convention from when 1NT opening bids were more wide-ranging than they are today. This convention is still useful when partner makes a balancing 1NT bid, that is again wide-ranging. Let's see how it works to help us know both partner's shape and strength after the balancing 1NT bid.
